Syntax highlighting in shell

You can have syntax highlighting in your own shell. Like so:

shows syntax highlighting in action, commands in green, tentative in yellow
screen capture of zsh session with syntax highlighting

In my case, via oh-my-zsh and it’s plugins. Config excerpt:

# Which plugins would you like to load? (plugins can be found in ~/.oh-my-zsh/plugins/*)
# Custom plugins may be added to ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom/plugins/
# Example format: plugins=(rails git textmate ruby lighthouse)
plugins=(git gitignore autojump command-not-found zsh-syntax-highlighting)
